Since 2019, we’ve been doing the Stories from the Center of the Universe podcast. As I stare at the compilation of 190+ recordings, I realize that we have an interesting and thought provoking compilation of audio episodes. My goal from the beginning, was to have casual conversations with guests for the sake of learning more about each of them.
My friends have been a big part of keeping this podcast going. Rob Dull, aka Silent Rob, The Scribe and My Crack Research Staff, has been an awesome contributor. Not only does he listen to every episode for quality assurance, he also does the written summary for each episode. He has also landed several guests and is motivated to continue landing them. You can check out Rob’s story here:
Kevin Flippen has also landed a bunch of guests. He enjoys co-hosting when the guest has a sports background or Kevin personally knows them. As a result, Kevin co-hosts 20-25% of the episodes which has earned him the nickname, The Occasional Cohost. You can listen to his episode as a guest here:

Kevin enjoys talking about sports so much that he started his own sports podcast, That Flip’n Sports Podcast. You can listen to his podcast anywhere you enjoy podcasts. Kenny Wingle and I cohost because we love talking about sports almost as much as Kevin.
My main passion is Stories from the Center of the Universe (abbreviated SCOTU) though. I really enjoy these conversations because I learn a lot each time we record, whether I just met the guest or I’ve known them my entire life. If nothing else, we are recording these stories for the guests’ family and friends for the sake of posterity. Along the posterity line, I recorded my mom’s story (episode 46) and my dad’s story (episode 9). To say I learned a lot about each of them from their recording sessions is to put it lightly.
Lastly, if you enjoy hearing unique, interesting and/or compelling stories, many of these episodes will be worth your time.
